When I adopted Jaxon through a rescue, he was reactive, and I felt completely overwhelmed — unsure and out of my depth. Reaching out to K9 Goodlife was the best decision I could have made. From our very first assessment through his board-and-train program — and now, five years of attending Day School every Wednesday — his growth has been nothing short of extraordinary.
The Street Smart classes, with their structured group walks that build confidence without direct greetings, were especially transformative. Watching Jaxon learn to navigate the world with calm assurance has been both emotional and deeply rewarding.
What stands out most, though, is that K9 Goodlife isn’t just a training service; it’s truly a family. The care, encouragement, and sense of community they create make every visit feel like coming home. We’ve even met our best walking friends through the group — people and dogs who have become an important part of our lives.
I’m profoundly grateful for the expertise, patience, and genuine love we’ve received. K9 Goodlife gave both of us confidence, skills, and a future I once wasn’t sure we’d have — and in the process, they made us part of a family.

We adopted little Pearl when she was almost 3 years old, and being a Covid pup and a dog that was intended to be used primarily for breeding, she had missed out on some core social skills and development at an early age. Because of this, Pearl really struggled with strangers and with some aggressive behaviours.
We began working with Sara and K9 Goodlife initially with private training and a series of extensive "Board & Train" sessions to allow Sara to fully bond with Pearl and develop that deep trust that was required.
Little by little, Pearl was able to expand her human circle and begin to trust certain people in different situations. She was able to enroll in Small Dog Wednesday day school, and really enjoyed "Tricks and Confidence" group classes! What really struck us was not only Sara's commitment to helping Pearl, but also her to making sure that we understood the process and were equally engaged in reinforcing the training and giving clear directions to Pearl. We began to realize how much of their job is training the humans, not just dogs!
Now, we continue with weekly Day School and Day Training and Pearl is thriving! Pearl now even has some close friends (both human and canine!) and we don't know where she would be without the patience, care and dedication that the entire K9 Goodlife team shared with our family.
